What makes Good Middling candles different?

We use 100% American-grown soy wax, cotton wicks, and CleanScents-certified fragrance oils that are free from phthalates and harmful toxins. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches using elegant glass vessels for a premium look and feel. From start to finish, our focus is on quality, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.

How do I care for my Good Middling candle?

To get the most out of your candle, trim the wick to 1/4" before each burn and let it burn for 3–4 hours at a time. This helps your candle burn cleanly and evenly, every time.

Where can I buy your candles?

Right now, we sell our candles directly at pop-up events like craft fairs, art markets, and farmers markets. Follow us on Facebook or sign up for our email list to find out where we’ll be next!

Why is there black soot in my jar?

Most likely, the wick wasn’t trimmed. If the wick gets too long, it can “mushroom” and create black soot on the inside of the jar. Keep it trimmed to 1/4" for a clean, soot-free burn.

Why does the wax look patchy after I burn it?

That’s called frosting, and it’s completely normal for soy wax candles. It’s a natural trait that shows you’re burning a pure soy wax product—kind of like a signature of quality.

Do you take bulk or custom orders?

We sure do! We offer bulk orders for corporate gifts, bridesmaid boxes, private label partnerships, and more. Just give us at least four weeks’ notice so we have time to order materials, pour your candles, and allow them to cure properly. Reach out to start a conversation—we’d love to work with you!
